Pokémon Puzzle League - N64 Game

Playing this one on a retro console still holds up—the garbage-block spam gets genuinely frantic against a friend. I keep coming back for the puzzle mode alone, and the Pokémon cameos are a fun bonus.

The block-matching mechanics feel really smooth, and I love how it adds that puzzle strategy to a classic battle format. It's surprisingly addictive trying to send garbage blocks to the opponent.

I've been playing this before bed every night for a week and the block-matching is so smooth, the garbage block mechanic really keeps you on your toes. The Pokémon theme adds a fun layer that makes it easy to pick up for a quick round or two.
