SEGA Master System Controller (New, Generic)

The buttons respond with a satisfying click that takes me right back to the 8-bit days, and the cord is plenty long enough for my setup.

The d-pad has a nice, firm feel that brings back memories of late nights playing Alex Kidd. The build quality is solid enough that I don’t worry about it breaking, and the button response is just as quick as I remember. For a third-party option, it’s a perfect way to enjoy the classics again.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the d-pad registers diagonals for games like Shinobi. The cable length is generous too, making it easy to sit back from the TV. Exactly what I needed.
