Wireless Retro 8 Pro Controller

The button layout instantly took me back to blowing on cartridges as a kid, and the fact that it works on both my Wii and NES Classic without any fuss is a huge win. I've been playing through Super Mario World for three evenings straight and the 480mAh battery hasn't even blinked yet.

I was pleasantly surprised by the 10-hour battery life; I've been playing for days without needing to recharge. The controller pairs instantly with my Wii U, and the classic NES layout makes old games feel authentic again.

The d-pad on this feels just like the original NES pad I grew up with, which is exactly what I wanted for replaying the old platformers. It paired with my Wii U without any fuss, and I got through a whole weekend of Mario without needing to plug it in.
