A detailed look at the Nintendo 64 Console bundled with Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64, with honest decision rules to help you choose.
Quick answer
If you want a turnkey retro setup with two iconic titles that work on the first press, the restored Nintendo 64 Console with Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64 is a strong choice. But it's not for everyone.
Why a restored bundle matters
A used N64 from a garage sale might need a new jumper pak, a deep cleaning, or a replacement power supply. This bundle skips that hassle. The console is fully restored and stress-tested, so you can plug it in and play without troubleshooting. That convenience is the main reason to consider a pre-built bundle over hunting for parts yourself.
What you get and what you don't
The bundle includes the console plus Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64 on authentic cartridges. You do not get a controller, AV cables, or a power adapter. If you don't already have those, factor in the extra cost. Also, the bundle price is USD 266.60, compared to a catalog comparison price of USD 430.00, so you are saving compared to buying everything separately at retail.
Decision rules for this bundle
- You want both games included: Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64 are two of the most beloved N64 titles. If you plan to play both, this bundle saves you the separate purchase hassle.
- You already have a controller and cables: The bundle does not include a controller, AV cables, or power supply. If you need those, your total cost will be higher. Check your existing accessories before buying.
- You value a tested, restored console: A restored console has been cleaned, tested, and repaired if needed. This reduces the risk of a dead-on-arrival unit compared to an untested used console.
- You prefer hunting for deals separately: If you enjoy finding a cheap console at a thrift store and buying games one by one, a bundle removes that experience and may cost more upfront. Skip the bundle if you want the thrill of the hunt.
