Winter Olympics: Lillehammer '94 - Game Gear Spiel

The bobsled events alone make this worth picking up for Game Gear, and the skiing controls feel surprisingly responsive for a handheld from that era. My thumbs were sore after a full evening of skating and slalom runs, but that's just proof I got my money's worth.

I was pleasantly surprised how many events are packed into this tiny cartridge—skiing, bobsled, skating, it’s got a lot of variety for a portable game. The controls feel responsive once you get used to them, making each event actually fun to play through.

Trying to pull off a triple axel on the tiny Game Gear screen is tricky but rewarding. The figure skating event alone makes this worth digging out the old handheld for a quick session.
