Wanderers from Ys - SNES Game

The real-time combat is so much smoother than I expected for an older SNES title, and leveling up my character actually feels rewarding rather than grindy. I've been having a blast just clearing out dungeon rooms one by one.

I’d been on the fence about this one, but the real-time combat flows so smoothly that I was hooked after the first dungeon. The RPG progression gives you a nice sense of growth without slowing down the action. Solid pick for a weekend of retro gaming.

I wasn’t sure how the real-time combat would mesh with RPG leveling, but after a few hours I’m hooked—the way you can dodge a monster’s swing and counterattack feels genuinely skillful. Exploring the dungeons keeps pulling me in, and the action never lets the pace drag.
