Sonic Chaos - セガマスターシステムゲーム

The nuclear weapons angle gives this one a darker, more serious vibe than most Sonic games. The 8-bit graphics on the Master System still hold up surprisingly well for a platformer from that era.

The parallel universe plot hook is genuinely interesting for a Master System game, and the controls feel tight enough to keep frustration low. I’ve already sunk an afternoon into it.

Was pleasantly surprised by how well the Master System handles the parallel universe level transitions—the colors really pop on an old CRT. The nuclear weapons plot actually gives the story more weight than I expected from a 2D platformer.
