I was worried this would just be a lazy port, but the HD retro-style graphics are incredibly crisp and vibrant. The levels are packed with clever callbacks and new twists, and it runs buttery smooth. It’s easily the most fun I’ve had with a 2D Sonic game in years.

The 60FPS frame rate makes the classic 2D gameplay feel incredibly smooth and responsive. It’s like playing a nostalgic dream but with none of the slowdown I remember from older versions.
